An Introduction

The new site will be about food.. specifically, my food. What I cook, and what I like to eat. Its a personal labour of love…

I have friends who wants us to have a “collective food” website, but, to keep the focus, and avoid personal conflicts of interest, it should be about one person’s personal blog

Firstly, who am I? well, I’m an indonesian who almost never cooks indonesian… if such things are weird, well, it is.. Why? well with an abundance of indonesian food here, there’s no way I can do it better than any of the indonesians “mamas” here. And in many cases, indonesian food is very labour intensive with an incongrous amount of spice.. which isn’t really what I’m about.. I like my foods to be more neutral… and more importantly, simple, because I cook for myself and hate washing up…

I do love indonesian food though. And some things are irreplacable, like the ubiquitous “sambal” and padang food …..so, from time to time, this site will also feature indonesian food and indonesian places to review….. as well as the guest posts from my foodie friends.

And since I’m such a crappy photographers, pictures from the blog may be a little blurry (a little being the understatement of the year).

In any case, I’ll try to keep a regular reporting as much as possible. Thank you very much for tuning in
